ACERCAMIENTO A LAS ALTERACIONES QUE SE PRODUCEN EN LOS PARÁMETROS VOCALES POR CONSUMO DE CIGARRILLO EN PROFESIONALES QUE EJERCEN DOCENCIA EN LA UNIVERSIDAD SANTO TOMÁS SEDE IQUIQUE

Abstract
Persons who exercise teaching are professionals who require its voice as a tool of work constantly and therefore this should be as clear and euphonious as possible, however, there are many factors that can cause alterations of the same; the cigarette is one of them. This produces different alterations to anatomical and perceptive voice level, so it is necessary to study what really are the effects that it produces and so different is the voice of a person who doesn’t consume cigarette to one that does.
In this study is assessed 14 Professional, smokers and non- mokers, who teach, through it consignment of information related with them general habits, labor load, morbid records and of consumption of cigarette, besides evaluating the parameters involved in the voice production (posture, breathing, tonicity, Anatomy orofacial) and the features of it voice (parameters vocal), making emphasis in the difference that exist, this last ones, in smoking and no smoking professionals.
The vocal parameters studied were: local Jitter, local Shimmer, Harmonic to Noise Ratio (HNR) and fundamental frequency (explained in the text).
The results obtained show that greater affectation of vocal parameters there is local jitter, local shimmer, Harmonic to noise ratio and maximum time of phonation in smokers than non-smokers, while fundamental frequency parameter difference of affectation among smokers and nonsmokers is not.
