Abstract

Tinnitus is a very frequent, complex and multifactorial symptom; they are divided into subjective and objective tinnitus.

They are frequently associated with attention disorders, anxiety, depression and insomnia, valuable data to take into account in the treatment.

A review of the therapeutic proposals is made to provide relief to the patient with tinnitus. The value of cognitive behavioral therapy and the contribution of sound therapies are highlighted.

The author proposes a holistic approach to the patient and emphasizes that the treatment must be personalized and carried out by a multidisciplinary team.

Because most patients with tinnitus are diagnosed with a subjective tinnitus, we will pay more attention to the therapeutic possibilities of them.
